NANAK1313 LIMITED is gearing up for the upcoming season and is seeking casual staff to join our dedicated hospitality team on the West Coast, New Zealand. This role is essential in maintaining our high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess prior experience in the housekeeping department, demonstrating a solid understanding of essential tasks such as bed-making and general housekeeping duties.

Core Housekeeping Duties

  • Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces.
  • Make beds according to established standards, ensuring linens are fresh and properly arranged.
  • Restock supplies such as toiletries, towels, and bedding as needed throughout the shift.
  • Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly for resolution.
  • Assist in laundry duties, including washing, drying, and folding linens and towels.

Guest Interaction and Support

  • Provide excellent customer service by responding to guest requests and inquiries efficiently.
  • Maintain a friendly and approachable demeanor while interacting with guests and team members.
  • Ensure that common areas are clean and presentable for guest use at all times.
  • Assist with special requests from guests, such as additional bedding or amenities.
  • Conduct regular inspections of rooms and public areas to uphold cleanliness standards.

Tools & Equipment

  • Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as vacuums, mops, and floor scrubbers.
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their safe usage in accordance with health regulations.
  • Experience with laundry machines and their operational protocols.
  • Basic understanding of safety protocols and emergency procedures in hospitality settings.
  • Ability to use inventory management systems for tracking cleaning supplies.

Compensation
