Job Description:
TAIER is a modern Chinese restaurant located in Auckland CBD, specialising in authentic
Sichuan cuisine with its signature Sauerkraut Fish and a wide selection of traditional dishes.
As the first TAIER restaurant in NZ, it operates seven days a week, serving both lunch and
dinner to a diverse customer base of local residents and international visitors. The
restaurant is committed to delivering high-quality food, excellent customer service, and a
vibrant dining experience.
The Restaurant Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations, leading the team,
maintaining service and food quality standards, and ensuring the efficient and profitable
operation of the restaurant.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Planning and organizing special functions and arranging seating.
- Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation.
- Conferring with customers to assess their satisfaction with meals and service.
- Selecting, training and supervising waiting, bar and kitchen staff.
- Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
- Maintaining records of stock levels and financial transactions.
- Ensuring that correct food and beverage pricing and portioning are applied.
- Developing menus in consultation with chefs.
- Planning and supervising the application of budgets and financial controls.
- Ensuring high standards of hygiene and customer service are maintained.
Job requirement: applicant must meet following requirement to apply for this job
- Diploma qualification is required; OR
- At least two year of relevant work experience in relevant industry
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong customer service orientation
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good organisational and multitasking abilities
- Basic computer skills and ability to use booking systems
- Professional, reliable and well-presented
