Black Swan Lakeside Boutique Hotel is a small, eight-suite hotel set right on the shores of Lake Rotorua. It offers a quiet, private stay for couples and travellers looking for a peaceful getaway. The hotel also has its own restaurant and a day spa. It's often used for weddings and small meetings, and guests regularly mention the friendly staff and beautiful lake views.

We are looking for a warm, detail-oriented and service-driven Hotel Receptionist to join our team. 

Who we need

We’re seeking a hotel receptionist with the following qualifications and skills:

• Have a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong customer service skills, with a friendly and professional manner.
• Good computer skills, including experience with booking or property management systems.
• Flexible and willing to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

What We Offer

• Pay of $24-28 per hour, depending on experience and skill level
• A minimum of 30 hours per week

Your Responsibilities

• Welcomes guests and manages check-in on arrival
• Answers guest questions about hotel facilities, services and nearby attractions
• Deals with guest enquiries and resolves any complaints or issues
• Manages bookings, including new reservations, amendments and cancellations
• Processes guest payments by cash or card
• Supports housekeeping and maintenance teams as required, helping to keep rooms ready for guests on time
• Keeps guest records up to date in the booking system
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Lodge Manager or hotel owner to ensure smooth hotel operations
