NPL Food Limited is looking for 2 Cook/ 1  Assistant Restaurant & Specialist Bar Manager  to work full-time in Auckland. Cook and The Assistant Restaurant & Specialist Bar Manager are expected to work for a minimum of 30 hours a week with a fortnightly payroll. Hours are rostered on a weekly basis and might include weekend shifts.
Wage rate:
$25.50 to $ 28.00 per hour (Cook)
$ 27.00 to $ 30.00 per hour(Assistant Restaurant & Specialist Bar Manager  )
Days Required: (Monday to Sunday).

Purpose of the Role
Assistant Restaurant & Specialist Bar Manager is a senior hospitality management position responsible for supporting the Restaurant & Bar Manager in the overall operation of Himalayan Fusion Restaurant & Bar across all three branches.
The role provides leadership across restaurant and bar operations, including staff supervision, service standards, beverage programme management, customer experience, compliance, and daily operational performance. The position acts as second-in-command, ensuring smooth business operations and stepping into the Restaurant & Bar Manager role when required.
Key Responsibilities
·       Assist in managing the daily operations of the restaurant and bar across all three branches.
·       Supervise, train, and coordinate front-of-house and bar staff to ensure efficient service delivery.
·       Support staff rostering, performance management, and team development.
·       Manage and maintain beverage operations, including menu development, pricing, stock control, and supplier coordination.
·       Ensure consistent food and beverage service standards, presentation, and customer satisfaction.
·       Monitor sales performance, costs, wastage, and assist with improving operational efficiency.
·       Manage customer enquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally.
·       Ensure compliance with liquor licensing requirements, health and safety standards, and company policies.
·       Act as Duty Manager during rostered shifts and take responsibility for daily operations.
·       Assist with functions, events, and special bookings, including planning, staffing, and service coordination.
·       Support the Restaurant & Bar Manager with business improvement initiatives and operational decisions.
·       Provide leadership and operational support during the absence of the Restaurant & Bar Manager.
Position Requirements
1.     Diploma level 5 qualification (Hospitality or Business) or three years of work experience in a management role in the hospitality sector.
2. Good oral/written communication skills.
3. Strong analytical/decision-making skills.
4. Basic computer literacy.

Cook Job Responsibilities:
1.     Preparing and cooking dishes according to restaurant standards.
2. Maintaining hygiene standards.
3. Cleaning and maintaining the kitchen premises according to the restaurant stander.
4. Assist Chefs to ensure a first-in, first-out food rotation system and verify all food products are properly dated and organized for quality assurance.
5. Keep the cooking station stoked, especially before and during prime operation hours.
6. Work with the chef to maintain kitchen organization.
7. Work in an orderly and disciplined manner in the kitchen during working hours.
8. Know how to wrap momos (dumplings).
9. Follow the food control plan provided.
10. Collaborate closely with other staff members.
11. Any other tasks delegated by the director or chef or duty manager to run day-to-day restaurant and bar operations.
12. Provide guidance to junior kitchen staff members, including food preparation, and dish plating.
13. must be available to work during weekends and evenings.
Cook Responsibilities:
1. Preparing Nepali/Indian authentic cuisine dishes.
2. Must be able to design and deliver a Nepali/Indian food-style menu.
3. Applicant must have at least 1 year of experience in Nepali/Indian cuisine.
4. A qualification in cookery is desirable but not compulsory.
