About the Role
The Front of House Navigator will support the smooth operation of the New Dunedin Hospital Outpatients and Dunedin Hospital buildings by staffing Front of House desks across two locations. This role is the first point of contact for patients, whānau, visitors, and external providers, the role provides welcoming, practical and timely support that helps people orientate, access services, move through the hospital environment with confidence and ensure a professional and culturally safe experience.
The position will play an important part in creating a positive hospital experience while supporting clinical and operational teams. This includes assisting arrivals, responding to enquiries, supporting wayfinding, enabling efficient patient flow, and providing clear communication, coordination and administrative support.

About You
Our ideal candidate will have:
- At least two years' clerical administration experience, with sound knowledge of office systems, patient-facing digital tools, and Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook
- Previous customer service, reception or front-facing public service experience
- The ability to work well in a team and build positive working relationships and support others.
- Basic knowledge of privacy obligations, the Privacy Act and the Code of Health and Disability Services Consumers' Rights, with respectful handling of personal information
- Strong written and verbal communication
