We are seeking a skilled Baker with strong capability in baking breads and pastries to join our bakehouse and café dining teams in Reporoa and Taupō.
This is a full‑time, permanent role offering median wage, suitable for an experienced Baker.

The Baker is responsible for preparing, baking, decorating, and presenting a range of bakery products, including bread, rolls, pastries, cakes, and specialty baked goods. The role requires maintaining high standards of quality, food safety, and customer satisfaction while ensuring efficient bakery operations.
Production and Baking
- Prepare and bake a variety of bread, rolls, cakes, pastries, pies, biscuits, and other baked products.
- Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes and production schedules.
- Operate bakery equipment such as mixers, dough sheeters, proofers, ovens, and slicers safely and effectively.
- Monitor baking times, temperatures, and product quality throughout the production process.
- Decorate and finish products where required.
Quality Control
- Ensure all products meet company quality standards and customer expectations.
- Inspect ingredients and finished products for freshness, consistency, and presentation.
- Minimise product wastage through effective stock rotation and production planning.
Food Safety and Hygiene
- Comply with all food safety regulations, hygiene standards, and workplace health and safety requirements.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work area, equipment, and storage facilities.
- Follow procedures relating to allergen management and food handling.
Inventory and Stock Management
- Monitor ingredient levels and advise management of stock requirements.
- Receive, check, and store deliveries of bakery ingredients and supplies.
- Assist with stocktaking and inventory control activities.
Customer Service
- Assist customers with product inquiries when required.
- Provide information about bakery products and ingredients.
- Support the overall customer experience through professional service and product presentation.
