Floor Home Limited is a registered construction company with its registered address at 8 Fort Richard Road, Otahuhu, Auckland. We are recruiting one permanent, full-time Office Manager to organise and manage the company's office functions, administrative systems and office resources, and support coordination between office operations and construction activities.

Primary workplace: 8 Fort Richard Road, Otahuhu, Auckland.

 

Working days and hours:

Rostered over up to 5 days per week between Monday and Saturday, generally between 8:00 am and 8:00 pm. Weekend work may be required depending on the roster.

 

Guaranteed hours:

Minimum 30 hours per week; maximum 40 hours per week.

 

Additional hours:

Any additional hours are by agreement and paid at the employee's ordinary hourly rate, subject to the maximum hours stated above.

 

Travel:

The role is primarily office-based. Occasional travel to Auckland project sites may be required for administrative coordination, supplier liaison, document management and compliance matters. Work-related travel during working hours will be provided or reimbursed by the employer.

 

Remuneration:

NZD $35.00-$38.00 gross per hour. The final rate offered will be within this advertised range and reflect the successful applicant's relevant experience and capability.

 

Pay frequency:

Fortnightly by internet banking.

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities

 

Reporting to the Company Director, the Office Manager will organise and control the office's administrative functions and resources, including:

 

• Managing office administration systems, procedures, priorities and workflow.

• Coordinating administrative work, staff administration, rosters, attendance records, onboarding and training documentation.

• Maintaining business records, accounts documentation, quotations, invoices, purchase orders, project files and confidential records.

• Liaising with customers, suppliers, contractors, accountants and other service providers.

• Managing office supplies, equipment and administrative resources.

• Coordinating appointments, deliveries, internal schedules, site visits and communication between office and project teams.

• Maintaining supplier records, stock records, project documentation and internal reporting systems.

• Supporting compliance with company policies, office procedures, health and safety requirements and workplace obligations.

• Preparing reports and recommending improvements to office efficiency.

• Supporting recruitment and personnel administration when required.

• Performing other reasonable Office Manager duties consistent with the position.

 

Minimum Requirements

 

Applicants must meet at least one of the following:

 

• A recognised tertiary qualification at NZQF Diploma level or above (or a recognised overseas equivalent); OR

• At least 2 years of relevant work experience in office administration, office management, business operations or a comparable role.

 

Applicants must also have:

 

• Ability to manage office records, administrative workflows and business documentation.

• Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to coordinate office resources and work independently while reporting to the Company Director.

• Ability to work the advertised roster and undertake occasional work-related travel within Auckland when required.

 

Work Eligibility

 

The successful applicant must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand before commencing employment.

 

Employment Terms

 

Employment will be governed by a written individual employment agreement and New Zealand employment law. Statutory leave and public holiday entitlements will apply. The employer will meet approved work-related travel expenses and will not pass recruitment, compulsory training or required safety-equipment costs to the employee.
