We are currently seeking skilled baker to join our growing team.

●        Pay rate: from $28-$35 per hour

●        Days required: 5-6 days/week

●        Hours per week: min 30, max 50 hours per week

Responsibilities and Account abilities:

● Prepare, mix, prove and bake a wide range of breads, pastries, cakes and other bakery products to specification, including pasteurised pastries and custom birthday cakes.

● Control proving, baking times and oven temperatures to achieve consistent quality across all production batches.

● Decorate, finish and present products to a high standard, including custom-decorated birthday cakes.

● Operate and maintain bakery equipment (mixers, ovens, dough sheeters, proofers), including routine cleaning and safety checks.

●  Assist with daily production planning and scheduling to meet production targets , adjusting product output according to sales trends and seasonal demand.

● Supervise the day-to-day operation of the kitchen, ensuring production runs smoothly and efficiently.

● Monitor stock levels of raw materials and packaging, maintain safe stock levels, and assist with receiving and checking deliveries.

● Conduct regular quality control checks across store kitchens; identify issues and provide on-site corrections and guidance to ensure consistent product quality.

● Follow strict food safety, hygiene and allergen-management procedures under New Zealand requirements (Food Control Plan / HACCP), and maintain accurate production and temperature records

Job Requirement

●  At least two-years relevant prior experience or substitute with a formal qualification

●  A 'can-do”attitude

●   Have an eye on details

●   Self-motivated

●   Clean non-criminal record

●  Solid knowledge of baking techniques, recipes and quality standards.
