Midwife -Paraparaumu Birthing Unit
Location: Paraparaumu Primary Birthing Unit, Kapiti Health Centre
Contract: Permanent, Part Time, O.6 FTE, Rostered and Rotating

About the Team/Service Location

A chance to work closely with women, whānau, and LMC colleagues in a supportive setting.
One beautiful birthing room, including a low-stimulus space with a dedicated birthing pool room.
Two postnatal rooms with a shared ensuite.
Opportunities to expand your midwifery scope, including antenatal assessments, labour and birth support, and postnatal care.
Providing postnatal care in partnership with LMCs.
Supporting LMCs with antenatal assessments and labour & birth (recent experience in this area is advantageous).
Coordinating with colleagues at WRH to ensure seamless care across services.
Responding confidently to emergencies and adapting to the varied nature of the unit
About You
An experienced, flexible, organised midwife who thrives in a changing environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Confidence and clinical assurance to manage emergency situations.
