Permanent part time position, working 32 hours per week

Monday to Sunday rostered shifts

About the Role

We are currently seeking a Registered Nurse to join the General Ward / Emergency Department at Bay of Islands Hospital in Kawakawa. The main function of the role is to utilise professional knowledge and skill to provide a holistic approach to nursing care that is safe and of the highest quality possible.

About the Service and Location

The Bay of Islands Hospital is located in Kawakawa and provides care to the people of the Bay of Islands and the Mid North. The 20-bed hospital provides comprehensive medical and paediatric services with all the supporting services and also provides a substantial community health service.

About You

  • Nursing council registration with a current practising certificate
  • Recent clinical experience, ideally in a rural setting would be beneficial, however not essential to apply.
  • People orientated interests and demonstrated ability to practice in a culturally safe manner
  • Adaptability and flexibility to work in an unpredictable and busy environment

It is essential you have competency in te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori, or you show a commitment to begin your journey and taking ownership of learning and development in these areas.
