Registered Nurse - Chemotherapy And Day Stay Unit

About the Role
We are a day unit open from 0800-1630hrs Monday-Friday. We administer chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments along with other medical infusions to both cancer and non-cancer patients. Our unit also services and runs the Taupo Chemotherapy unit two days per week (this may change). The successful applicant must be able to drive to Taupo on rostered rotations (one of these days is from 0700-1730hrs). We will support chemotherapy, CVAD and IV training and certifications.
About the Team/Service/Location
We are a small collegial team, and all support each other. Having a sense of humour is a bonus. We have 3 oncologists that work on site and 2 haematologists that come from Waikato on a weekly basis. Much of our work is discussing concerns over the phone or by email, so good communication skills are necessary. About You
As a chemotherapy / medical day stay staff member, you need the following skills: Three or more year of nursing experience IV cannulation certification and port certification a bonus but not required Assessment skills for assessing treatment side effects Chemotherapy experience a bonus but not required Must have a full NZ drivers' licence and have the ability to be able to travel to Taupo
