Coordinate comprehensive diabetes nutrition care across inpatient, outpatient and community settings

Clinical Dietitian - Diabetes

This full-time permanent position offers the chance to make a lasting impact on how nutrition care is delivered for people living with diabetes across our region. You will be part of a dynamic, progressive multidisciplinary team, working alongside Diabetes Dietitians, Nurses, and Endocrinologists who are all committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred diabetes care.

Based at Palmerston North Hospital, this role is integral to our specialist multidisciplinary team, supporting people living with diabetes who have complex health needs. You will work across a range of settings including: inpatient care, outpatient clinics, and community environments. This varied role ensures continuity of care and supports improved health outcomes for individuals and their whānau.

To be successful in this role you will have: registration with the New Zealand Dietitians Board and a current Annual Practising Certificate, endorsement as a Dietitian Prescriber, excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills, a collaborative approach with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams, a commitment to achieving equitable health outcomes for Māori and all communities we serve, and a current full New Zealand driver's licence. Previous experience in diabetes is advantageous, but your commitment to excellence and team collaboration is what matters most.
