About the Role

Health NZ | Te Whatu Ora Whanganui is seeking applications from enthusiastic and proactive health care assistants to join our supportive team on the Surgical Ward. The health care assistant is a vital, valued member of the department and plays a pivotal role in the efficient and effective running of the Surgical Ward. We place a high priority on patient focused care that is inclusive of family/whānau.

About the Team/Service

The Surgical Ward is a busy and fast paced environment, and we are seeking motivated candidates who possess strong communication skills and a friendly disposition, have a desire to continue learning, demonstrated honesty and reliability and enjoy working as part of a team. We can offer:

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working as an HCA
  • Possesses a Health Care Assistant qualification (minimum Level 2)
  • Has a positive, can do attitude
  • Is sensitive to the needs of others
  • Works well in a team
  • Can adapt to changing situations
