As a Registered Nurse in the Post Anaesthetic Care Unit (PACU), you will provide specialist nursing care to patients during the critical recovery period immediately following surgery and anaesthesia. Working in a fast paced and highly skilled environment, you will assess, monitor, and support patients as they recover, responding quickly to changing clinical needs and ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and care.

You will work closely with anaesthetists, surgeons, nurses, and multidisciplinary colleagues, playing a key role in delivering exceptional patient outcomes while supporting patients and whānau through an important stage of their healthcare journey.

As a Registered Nurse, you will be a confident and experienced clinician with a passion for delivering high quality care in a dynamic acute care environment. Current Nursing Council of New Zealand registration and a current Annual Practising Certificate. Postgraduate nursing experience in surgical, perioperative, critical care, or acute care settings. Advanced assessment and clinical decision making skills. Excellent communication, teamwork, and time management abilities. A commitment to professional development, Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles, and equitable health outcomes.
