The Gastroenterology Service at Waitematā provides highly specialised care to diagnose and treat adult patients with a variety of medical conditions. As our service continues to grow and develop, we are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual for a permanent administrative role at North Shore Hospital.

Reporting to the Gastroenterology Admin Team Leader and working within a team of approximately 10 staff, you will schedule procedure appointments, process referrals, manage wait lists and, from time to time, cover reception.

Ideally, you are a calm, warm and empathetic person who has similar experience working in a patient-centred environment. A patient focused approach is essential to ensure the optimal utilisation of available appointment times. You will need to demonstrate a high level of proficiency at general computer skills as well as working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Excel. Knowledge and experience with Patient Management Systems is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
