Registered Nurse, Ward E6, Waikato Hospital, Hamilton

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Registered Nurse to work in the Child Health service. The role is across Waikids Clinics and Day Stay areas. Waikids Clinics & Day Stay on E6 includes Paediatric medical and surgical specialist appointments plus many subspecialties.

About the Role

As a Registered Nurse you will be responsible to work across this busy, friendly, child-focused service, with a close working relationship alongside Medical, Surgical, Administrative and MDT staff. Waikids Day Stay staff provide Paediatric medical/surgical/oncology care, treatments and interventions enabling the child to attend for a short period of time, up to 8 hours.

About you

Registered Nurse - minimum 5 years experience

Minimum 2 years paediatric or neonatal nursing experience

Excellent communication skills

Proven problem-solving skills

The desire to provide quality care within a multi-disciplinary team
