Casual Registered Nurse - District Nursing (Rangītikei)

We are seeking casual Registered Nurses interested in community-based practice to support the delivery of District Nursing services across the Rangitīkei area.
This casual position primarily supports our community nursing team in Rangitīkei, delivering high-quality nursing care to people in their homes and communities. There may be opportunities to provide clinical cover in other community and hospital-based services as required to support the efficient and effective operation of Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Whanganui.
The District Nursing team is an experienced and supportive team providing nursing care across the Whanganui district. Working collaboratively with a range of health and community services, the team is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care. As a casual team member, you will join a flexible and collaborative environment that values teamwork and positive outcomes for patients and whānau.
Registered Nurse with a current Annual Practising Certificate and registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand. Demonstrates practice consistent with the competencies and expectations of the Registered Nurse scope of practice. Has a current New Zealand Driver Licence and is confident travelling within urban and rural communities. Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, whānau, and multidisciplinary teams. Able to work independently and make sound clinical decisions in a community-based setting. Computer literate, with experience using Microsoft Office applications and electronic clinical systems. Previous community or district nursing experience is desirable but not essential.
