About the Role
This role is to establish and maintain the highest occupational health standards for Health NZ providing expertise and advice on the practical implementation of occupational health and wellbeing policies and processes.
The Senior Occupational Health Nurse works cross the designated district within the Occupational Health specialty, acting in the roles of advanced clinical practitioner, educator, consultant and contributor to quality improvement and service development.
About You
You are a Registered Nurse with a current practising certificate, supported by a tertiary qualification in Occupational Health and at least five years' experience working within the Occupational Health field. As a designated senior nurse within the PDRP framework, you bring advanced clinical knowledge, sound judgement, and a strong commitment to professional excellence.
Your experience includes technical competencies such as audiometry and spirometry, alongside current Authorised Vaccinator status, allowing you to provide a broad range of Occupational Health services with confidence and professionalism.
Strong verbal and written communication skills enable you to build effective relationships across organisations, while your understanding of legislation and health and safety requirements ensures advice and practice are aligned with current standards and best practice guidelines.
With proven adult teaching and presentation skills, you are confident delivering engaging education sessions and presenting Occupational Health matters to a variety of audiences, helping to promote safer and healthier workplaces.
