Join our dedicated Liaison Psychiatry & Regional Huntington Disease Service as an experienced Team Administrator! We're looking for a proactive and highly organised Team Administrator to become an integral part of our supportive multidisciplinary team. About the Team/Service/Location

Liaison Psychiatry is based at Auckland City Hospital and provides specialist advice and consultation to services and teams within ADHB for people with concurrent physical and mental health needs. The service also provides assessment, advice, and consultation to the Emergency Department at Auckland City Hospital. The multi-disciplinary team consists of Consultant Psychiatrists, Nurse Specialists, Nurse Practitioner, Registrar, Clinical Psychologist, and a Team Administrator.

The Regional Huntingtons Disease (HD) Service provides specialist assessment, management, and clinical support for people with Huntingtons disease across the Auckland and Northland regions.

Our team works in partnership with a wide network of services and NGOs, including:

  • Auckland Genetics Service
  • Neurology and Movement Disorders teams at Auckland Hospital
  • Liaison Psychiatry
  • HD Youth Organisation and other HD Associations
  • Health New Zealand (Te Whatu Ora) services across Auckland, Waitemata and Counties Manukau
  • NGOs, primary healthcare providers, Kaikaranga (formerly Taikura Trust), and other mental health services.

We support individuals and families throughout the course of the condition, from Presymptomatic testing through to advanced stage care.

About You

To be a successful applicant for this role you will:

  • Have a full, clean New Zealand Drivers Licence
  • Have a minimum of 2 years administrative experience or equivalent relevant experience
  • You must have proficiency with MS applications intermediate level, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • High level of proficiency in managing emails
  • Able to use initiative and can pay attention to detail
  • Negotiation and conflict management skills
  • Good team working skills and the ability to work well under pressure a confident communicator with the ability to engage positively with a range of different people

It is highly desirable to:

  • Have experience in the health sector and knowledge of DHB services and structures
  • Have the ability and commitment to quickly become familiar with a range of health information systems e.g. Trak care, HCC, Regional Clinical Portal (RCP), Winscribe, Mahi E Taea
