About the role

Our Day Surgery Unit is a one–stop shop, providing surgery to patients of all ages from a wide range of surgical specialties ranging from:

  • Dental,
  • ENT,
  • General Surgery,
  • Gynaecology,
  • Orthopaedic,
  • Plastics,
  • Urology
  • and Paediatrics.

Care for patient's right across the continuum of care from preadmissions through to discharge.

DSU also accommodates patients admitted for a variety of non-theatre procedures.

Monday to Friday Day 8 hour shifts between 7am-7pm

Shifting to state of the art Day Procedure Unit within the new Outpatients building beginning in October.

About you

  • Post operative surgical experience a must
  • Registered Nurse with APC
  • Recent and relevant experience within a NZ clinical setting
  • A requirement to be involved in the termination of pregnancy service.
  • A willingness to promote and champion quality initiatives.

Salary Range This role is covered by the terms and conditions of the expired NZNO CEA and the salary will be in accordance with the RN Pay Scale, between step 2 $81,683 and step 7 $106,739 p.a dependant on relevant experience.
