About the role
This role will see you primarily focusing your attention to the overall needs of the service. This is a varied role within a clinical environment, and you will need to be able to take instruction and direction from the nurses on the ward, whilst having a helpful and team focused approach to making a difference to the environment, and care provided to the patients under our care.
As a Health Care Assistant, you will be involved in:
- Supporting our nurses and other members of the health care team
- Patient supervision and/or movement
- Patient cares, as required
- Stock reconciliation
- Ward maintenance
- Patient watch, with one on one care as required
- Shifts are rostered and rotating

- Experience working with people in a caring capacity is also essential, whether than experience is gained from within a professional environment, or from caring for children or family members.

Salary Range This role is covered by the terms and conditions of the expired NZNO CEA and the salary will be in accordance with the HCA Pay Scale, between $60,100 and $70,358 p.a pro rata dependant on relevant experience.
