The opportunity:

We are currently seeking experienced and motivated Transcriptionist to join our Clinical Transcription Service based at Middlemore Hospital. This role plays a vital part in supporting a wide range of clinical services through accurate and timely medical transcription. This is a part-time role based at Middlemore Hospital, working 6 hours per day, Monday to Friday, during standard business hours.

We offer an excellent training programme to ensure staffs are able to work independently in a short time frame, and ongoing supports are provided for all employees.

About you:

If you have previous medical experience then this is a great opportunity. We will consider applicants who do not have a medical background, but have proven fast, accurate Dictaphone typing, which are essential, as it is very a busy, fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will need to have:

  • Dictaphone typing/Transcription experience
  • Minimum typing speed of 55wpm
  • Intermediate level of MS Office Word & Outlook
  • Awareness and understanding of patient confidentiality
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure

The salary range is dependent on skills and experience and will be paid in line with the National Administration Collective agreement.
