About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Medical Imaging Technologist to join our BreastScreen Coast to Coast (BSCC) and Breast Imaging Service team on a permanent, part-time basis (0.4 FTE).

In this role, you will provide high-quality mammographic imaging for women participating in BreastScreen Aotearoa and those accessing diagnostic breast imaging services. Working within a supportive multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to delivering safe, compassionate, and equitable care while supporting positive health outcomes for women across the region.

About the Team/Service

BreastScreen Coast to Coast (BSCC) delivers screening and assessment services to eligible women through the national BreastScreen Aotearoa programme. The Breast Imaging Service provides diagnostic imaging for symptomatic patients, as well as surveillance and follow-up services for those requiring ongoing breast care.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need the following:

  • Already have an undergraduate qualification in Medical Imaging Technology and current practicing certificate
  • Work 16 hours per week, or 32 per fortnight weekdays and or weekends.
  • Work well in a team environment
  • Enjoy working with well women and show willingness to adapt practice to meet client needs
  • Have a full drivers licence.
  • Be physically fit to manage the demands of repetitive screening.
  • Complete post graduate studies in order to meet BreastScreen Aotearoa requirements (if not completed already)
