Clinical Nurse Specialist Prescriber - Respiratory

An exciting opportunity has become available for a senior nurse to advance their nursing practice based in Rotorua as the Respiratory Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) Prescriber. In this CNS prescriber role, you will be expected to apply specialist knowledge and provide expert nursing advice to patients with complex respiratory conditions to achieve best patient outcomes. The role includes facilitating nurse-led clinics and on occasion, visiting patients in their home, so you will need a current driver's license.

The successful candidate will be proactive and able to work autonomously, as well as part of a team. They will have excellent clinical assessment and diagnostic reasoning skills; excellent communication and people management skills; and have proven case management and clinical leadership skills.

There is an expectation that the candidate will have a minimum of 5 years post-registration nursing experience with a post-graduate diploma and nurse prescriber qualification.
