Middle Office Administrator
The Middle Office Administrator provides support to the Brokers in capturing trade details, data entry and providing support as required.
Role Responsibilities
- Inputting FX Forward trades into the various front end trade capture systems, and are processed into such in a timely manner
- Ensure that all trades are delivered to the client, via a 3rd Party electronic mechanism, such as Order Management System (OMS), where applicable.
- Ensure that all confirmations are delivered to the client, via E-Mail (or alternative route, such as ACS) and liaise with Clients or Brokers as required when there are problems
- Resolve any queries in relation to non-delivery of electronic confirmations, liaising with either the 3rd Party Vendor and/or the Ops Services team, to ensure delivery by amending the trade after any changes / permission being granted.
- Ensure timely and accurate entry of trades into OMS
- Oversight of clearing and reporting processes relating to errors or defaults.
- Ensure that any incoming confirmations from a 3rd party broker, or an overseas branch, match the details that we have booked in our system
- Cross checking the agreements against the rates in OMS and also maintaining a summarised brokerage list
- Middle office procedure
- Maintaining client balances and ensuring to notify the brokers and the back office to change certain clients rates when the caps are reached
- Assisting settlements with SDM (static data) - any changes that need making, adding new traders and maintaining client details
- Checking exception brokerage reports and ensuring variances are valid
- Cross training new staff
- Maintaining an up to date contact list
- Provide daily, weekly and monthly reports where required to Commercial and Operational management
Experience / Competences
- Degree qualified
- High attention to detail
- Proven experience of numerical accuracy
- Proven experience in Excel
- Interest in Financial Markets
