About the Role

The Administrator Lakes District Hospital roles will effectively contribute to the smooth running of the service by providing an efficient and timely administrative support function that is responsive and flexible to the changing of the service/organisation.

Tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Provide a reception service, take messages, answer and redirect queries as appropriate, screen telephone calls and visitors, open and distribute mail, and attend to visitors as required.
  • Provide administrative support for a wide range of services including the Emergency Department, main reception, Allied Health, and Radiology departments
  • Support patients and the Lakes team with queries and problem solving as required

Management of patient records, payments, ACC forms, admit and discharge patients electronically

About You

Our ideal candidates will:

  • Have at least two years previous administration experience
  • Have a high degree of knowledge and use of Microsoft Office Suite including advanced knowledge of word-processing, spreadsheet, email, calendar, graphics, presentation packages.
  • Be a touch typist, have a high attention to detail with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills, a natural open manner, and acts with discretion, sensitivity and integrity at all times
  • Be willing to participate in a roster which includes weekend and evening work
