About the Role

We have a number of vacancies for Registered Health Professionals. This team is innovative, well supported and provides a mental health crisis response to the Tairāwhiti region.

Applicants are welcome from Registered Nurses, Social Workers and Occupational Therapists with a minimum of 3 years experience working within mental health services and have a current NZ practicing certificate.

The role involves working on a 24/7 rotating roster of day and night shifts with overnight on-call.

The successful applicant will possess the professional attributes required to undertake this rewarding role and will have the capability to become a Duly Authorised Officer (DAO) as described in the Mental Health Act 1992 (amended).

About the Team/Service/Location

The team will be based with Acute Mental Health Services based in our Acute Mental Health Inpatient unit at Gisborne Hospital.

About you

  • Registered Health Professional
  • Current Practicing Certificate
  • Minimum 3 years Post graduate experience in Mental Health
  • Preferably Acute Mental Health experience
