About the Role
As a Registered Nurse in our Emergency Department, you’ll be part of the frontline response for patients and whānau experiencing acute and urgent health needs. You’ll use your clinical expertise to complete rapid assessments, deliver evidence-based interventions, and provide calm, effective care in high-pressure situations.
You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, adapting quickly to changing priorities, supporting patients and whānau through a wide range of presentations, and contributing to safe, high-quality care. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, values teamwork, and is passionate about making a difference when it matters most.

Our Emergency Department at Hawkes Bay Fallen Soldiers Hospital is a supportive, collaborative and experienced team of nurses, doctors, and allied health staff. About You
As an Emergency Department Registered Nurse, you bring professionalism, resilience and strong clinical judgement. You will have:
- Current registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand and a valid Annual Practising Certificate.
- Experience applying Te Tiriti o Waitangi in practice.
- Strong teamwork, communication and time-management skills.
- Ability to perform well under pressure and adapt to rapidly changing situations.
Desired:
- A current PDRP portfolio.
- Previous emergency or acute care experience.
- CORE Advanced certification.
