Jellicoe Street Bar & Eatery (Creative Hospitality Group Limited) is seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to join out dynamic team in Te Puke.
This will be a full-time Restaurant Manager position located in Te Puke. A minimum of 30 hours per week will be garanteed and you can be rostered on any day/s time/s during the week. Depending on the level of your skills, rate of pay will vary between $30-$35 per hour.
The role of a Restaurant Manager is to ensure all daily activities run smoothly and efficiently.
To be successful in this role, you should be familiar with restaurant operations and have a good understanding of what makes great customer service.
Ultimately, you will help minimise operating costs, boost our employee retention and deliver a positive dining experience for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Research new wholesale food/liquor suppliers and negotiate prices
- Menu development in collaboration with the chefs
- Calculate future needs in kitchenware and equipment and place orders as needed
- Manage contracts and invoices with suppliers and customers
- Coordinate communication between front of the house and back of the house staff
- Prepare shift schedules
- Process payroll for all restaurant staff
- Supervise kitchen and wait staff and provide assistance as needed
- Maintain records daily, weekly and monthly costs and revenues
- Selecting and arranging for new employees proper onboarding (scheduling trainings and ordering uniforms )
- Overseeing restaurant staff performance, ensure quality dining
- Monitor compliance with safety and hygiene regulations
- Monitor venue/staff compliance with the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012
- Gather guests' feedback and make improvements to our menus
Skills/Experience and Certification Required
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role or Relevant NZ Register Diploma
- Managers Certificate
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays/public holidays
- A full NZ drivers licence
