Chinese Medicine Practitioner / Acupuncturist

 Position Overview

This is a full-time permanent position, requiriner who cng a practitioan provide comprehensive Chinese Medicine services, including the treatment of internal medicine conditions.

 Key Responsibilities

- Provide acupuncture treatments (including traditional acupuncture, electro-acupuncture, auricular acupuncture, etc.)

- Prescribe and manage Chinese herbal medicine prescriptions (decoctions and granule formulas)

- Provide Tui Na (Chinese therapeutic massage) treatments

- Provide paediatric Tui Na (children's massage) treatments

- Diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions using Chinese Medicine theory, including internal medicine disorders, gynaecological conditions, and paediatric conditions

- Conduct comprehensive Chinese Medicine consultations and pattern differentiation (Bian Zheng Lun Zhi)

- Treat ACC-funded injury patients and private-paying patients

- Maintain accurate clinical records in accordance with CMCNZ and ACC requirements

- Collaborate with the existing team to provide integrated patient care

- Participate in the development of the clinic's full range of Chinese Medicine services (acupuncture, herbal medicine, Tui Na)

 Essential Requirements

- Legally entitled to work and practise in New Zealand

- Bachelor's degree or higher in Chinese Medicine, or a Master's degree in Acupuncture and Tui Na

- Must already hold current Annual Practising Certificates (APC) from the Chinese Medicine Council of New Zealand (CMCNZ) in all three scopes of practice:

  1. Acupuncturist

  2. Chinese Herbal Medicine Dispenser

  3. Tui Na Practitioner

- Minimum of one year of relevant clinical experience

- Solid clinical skills and experience in acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine prescribing (decoctions), and Tui Na

- Proven experience in treating internal medicine conditions using Chinese Medicine approaches

- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively serve patients from diverse cultural backgrounds

- Professional, reliable, and committed to high standards of clinical practice and professional ethics

- Must hold a full New Zealand driver's licence

- Paediatric Tui Na experience is preferred

- Familiarity with the diagnosis and treatment of gynaecological and paediatric conditions is preferred

- Ability to work across multiple clinic locations in Auckland
