We are looking for an experienced, forward-thinking Restaurant Manager to take our daily dining operations, financial performance, and back-end operational systems to the next level.
This is a permanent, full time position with minimum 35 hours/week.
Restaurant Manager :
As the Restaurant Manager, you will hold full accountability for the operational, financial, and technical success of the establishment. This strategic leadership role bridges traditional front-of-house hospitality management with modern digital platform oversight. You will ensure a high-performing team culture, strict regulatory compliance, and maximum profitability.
Job Responsibilities:
Operational & Hospitality Leadership
• Plan, organize, and direct daily front-of-house and back-of-house restaurant operations.
• Coordinate and execute special functions, corporate events, and VIP dining experiences.
• Collaborate with kitchen leaders on menu planning, cost analysis, and strategic pricing structures.
• Resolve escalated guest concerns and drive customer relation initiatives to secure repeat patronage.
• Recruit, onboard, manage performance, and coordinate training schedules for all staff.
Systems & Financial Management
• Configure, maintain, and manage the restaurant's tech stack, including Point of Sale (POS) environments and online reservation software.
• Audit automated inventory pipelines, monitor stock levels, and negotiate procurement terms with suppliers.
• Manage Profit and Loss (P&L;) statements, control operational costs, and optimize labor percentages.
• Utilize data-driven reporting dashboards to analyze daily sales summaries and operational metrics.
• Maintain and enforce strict standards of food safety, workplace health, and liquor licensing regulations.
Key Competencies & Skills
• Proven Leadership: Ability to manage high-pressure environments, drive a positive team culture, and deliver commercial outcomes.
• Financial & Analytical Literacy: Strong experience managing restaurant budgets, labor margins, and data forecasting toolsets.
• Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with modern restaurant operating software, digital workflows, and inventory tracking tools.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Solid understanding of food safety legislation, employment standards, and liquor licensing compliance rules.
What we are looking for :

minimum of 3 years of highly relevant full-time work experience in restaurant or hospitality management. OR

A relevant tertiary qualification (NZ Diploma Level 6 or higher) in Hospitality Management or Business Administration OR

A Bachelor's Degree or higher in any discipline
