Food & Beverage Manager – Full Time
Location: Oamaru, Otago, New Zealand
Salary: $68,000–$75,000 per annum
Hours: Minimum 35 hours per week

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Food & Beverage Manager to lead our restaurant, bar, and events operations at Brydone Hotel.
This is a hands-on leadership role, reporting to the Hotel Manager, and is ideal for someone who enjoys leading a team and delivering excellent guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily food and beverage operations to ensure smooth service
- Lead, train, and motivate front-of-house team members
- Manage rosters, staffing levels, and labour costs
- Maintain high standards of service, presentation, and cleanliness
- Work with the Head Chef on menus and seasonal offerings
- Manage stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships
- Ensure compliance with NZ health & safety, food safety, and licensing requirements
- Drive revenue through promotions, events, and guest engagement
- Prepare operational and financial reports
- Handle guest feedback professionally and proactively
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 2 years’ relevant Food & Beverage management experience; hotel experience preferred
- Relevant hospitality qualification or equivalent experience
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Sound understanding of hospitality financials, including GP, cost control, and budgeting
- Current LCQ and Manager’s Certificate
- Strong working knowledge of SwiftPOS or similar POS systems
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
- Passion for delivering exceptional customer service
