Hands-on Restaurant Manager responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of Parade. The role includes leading and supporting the team, delivering excellent customer service, managing rosters and staff performance, controlling stock and operational costs, and ensuring compliance with food safety, liquor licensing, and health and safety requirements. The Restaurant Manager will lead by example, maintain efficient service, resolve operational issues, and work closely with the owners to improve sales, profitability, and overall business performance.

Parade is seeking a confident and passionate Restaurant Manager to lead our Auckland restaurant and bar. The successful candidate will oversee daily operations, deliver excellent guest experiences, uphold Parade’s standards, and lead a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities
Operations

Manage daily restaurant and bar operations, including opening and closing procedures.

Coordinate reservations, seating, service flow, functions, and events.

Oversee bar operations and responsible alcohol service.

Support front-of-house and kitchen teams during busy periods.
Staff Management

Recruit, train, roster, supervise, and motivate staff.

Monitor performance and ensure compliance with service, food safety, hygiene, and health and safety standards.

Promote effective teamwork and communication.
Customer Service

Deliver consistently high-quality customer service.

Resolve customer concerns and complaints professionally.

Monitor service standards and assist the team to maintain efficient service.
Financial and Inventory Control

Monitor budgets, sales, labour costs, and operating expenses.

Manage stock levels, ordering, suppliers, wastage, and inventory controls.

Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and prepare reports as required.
Compliance and Safety

Ensure compliance with food safety, health and safety, employment, and liquor licensing requirements.

Maintain required licences, records, and operational documentation.

Ensure responsible alcohol service, age verification, hygiene, and workplace safety procedures are followed.
Skills and Experience Required

Relevant Diploma Level 5 qualification or at least two years of relevant work experience.

Strong leadership, communication, organisational, and multitasking skills.

Experience managing restaurant and bar operations and supervising front-of-house and kitchen teams.

Knowledge of customer service, food safety, health and safety, and liquor licensing requirements.

Ability to manage staff, stock, suppliers, costs, and daily administration.

Passion for delivering excellent service and maintaining high standards.

Availability to work weekends and public holidays as required.
