Lead the rollout of the National Orthopaedic Musculoskeletal Hospital Pathway in Wairarapa

Advanced Physiotherapist - Orthopaedics

We are looking for an experienced Orthopaedic Physiotherapist who is passionate about interdisciplinary models, and has the skills required to lead change. This role is an exciting opportunity to be involved in establishing the National Orthopaedic Musculoskeletal Hospital Pathway in Wairarapa Hospital, and to bring advanced physiotherapy into local pathways to support efficient and effective clinical management for those with orthopaedic conditions (specifically osteoarthritis) in the Wairarapa community.

The Advanced Orthopaedic Physiotherapist is part of the Planned Services team, and will work closely alongside orthopaedic services to deliver on the requirements of this role. There is close connection with the Wairarapa Hospital Physiotherapy team and the role will be part of a national clinical practice network.

This is a permanent full time position working 80 hours per fortnight (1.0 FTE), Monday to Friday.

You will be a NZ registered Physiotherapist with a minimum of five years' clinical practice, with at least three years working in the orthopaedic / musculoskeletal area. You will have relevant post graduate qualifications. You will have superb communication skills and the ability to form strong collaborative relationships with stakeholders across a range of settings. You will have enthusiasm together with experience in project / service development, and be able to articulate the value physiotherapy brings to the orthopaedic model and referral pathways.
