Store Supervisor (Night Shift)

Doner Kebabs QT is one of the busiest takeaway restaurants in Queenstown. We are open 7 days a week, from 10:30 am until 5:00 am the following day, serving dine-in, takeaway, delivery, and late-night customers. Our restaurant can seat around 20 dine-in patrons in addition to offering takeaway and delivery services.

We are currently looking for a Store Supervisor to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. The successful applicant must be available to work night shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required by the business. Minimum 30 h/week guaranteed.

Key Responsibilities

The successful applicant will report directly to the restaurant owner and will be responsible for:

  • ensuring that customers receive prompt service and quality goods and services
  • responding to customers' inquiries and complaints about goods and services
  • examining returned goods and deciding on appropriate action
  • taking inventory of goods for sale and ordering new stock
  • ensuring that goods and services are correctly priced and displayed
  • ensuring safety and security procedures are enforced
  • Collecting payments for sales and operating POS systems and cash registers.
  • Reporting operational issues, customer concerns and staff matters to the owner.
  • Supervising staff during shifts and ensuring smooth restaurant operations.
  • Assisting with opening and closing procedures.
  • Ensuring compliance with food safety, health and safety, and licensing requirements.
  • Monitoring cleanliness and presentation standards.

Requirements

Applicants should:

  • Have at least 6 months of full-time experience in a supervisory, duty manager, restaurant supervisor or similar role; or
  • Hold a relevant qualification at Level 2 or higher.
  • Be available to work night shifts, weekends and public holidays.
  • Have good communication and customer service skills.
  • Be able to work effectively in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
  • Demonstrate good organisational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Have experience operating POS systems and handling cash transactions.
