Dunedin Hospital, fixed term part time 0.6 FTE role

Fixed term role until November 2027

Salary between $81,683 and $106,739 per annum pro rata

About the Role

The District Nursing service provides comprehensive nursing care to the greater Dunedin area including Palmerston and Middlemarch, this includes specialist wound care (including ACC), intravenous medications administration, palliative care, catheter management and much more

The service is closely linked to Dunedin hospital to help ensure patients are supported safely in the community after hospital discharge while also maintaining close liaison with local GP practices, Hospice and residential facilities. This is an opportunity for you to adapt and increase your clinical skills to become a'specialist generalist'. You will be out and about working in different places, and each hour is varied from the next. You'll be responsible for planning and implementing care to a diverse range of patients in the community.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have the ability to communicate effectively, be self-motivated and tactful with a caring attitude, be able to cope in stressful situations and work as part of a team.

Our ideal candidate will:

• Have a full, clean drivers licence is essential for this position.
• Varied nursing experience of 3-5 years including acute clinical, surgical and medical nursing
• Be registered in accordance with the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003 as a Registered Nurse
• Possess a current Practising Certificate.
