We are currently looking for a skilled nuclear medicine technologist to join our friendly and supportive radiology department at Taranaki Base Hospital. Our nuclear medicine department is seeking a qualified nuclear medicine technologist who will be working alongside two other highly experienced medical imaging technologists; our team performs multiple procedures including sentinel nodes, bone scans, gated hearts, thyroids, gastric emptying, renal studies and chemical stress perfusion scans.

We are looking for a nuclear medicine technologist with excellent communication skills, a high standard of patient care, enthusiasm and the ability to work efficiently. WE currently have a Siemens Pro SPECTA.

In addition, we have recently moved into our new department, our facilities in New Plymouth include advanced imaging technologies such as general x-ray, CT, ultrasound, MRI, Ultrasound, Interventional radiography, fluoroscopy and more. With satellite sites in Hawera, Stratford, and Waitara, you will have the chance to work alongside a team of around 60 staff members, supported by experienced Radiologists. To be successful in this role you will be required to have/be: -

• NZ registration and a current annual practising certificate
• Excellent technical skills and knowledge
• Well-developed communication, critical thinking skills and a commitment to family centred care
• Capable of working independently and within a small team
• A strong commitment to quality healthcare
• Versatile and able to adapt to a constantly changing environment
• Able to work well within a close team and be willing to take part in training students.
