We have an exciting opportunity for an Administration Officer to join our Community Corrections team in Dunedin. This is a busy and rewarding full-time role where you'll provide essential administrative support to Probation Officers and frontline staff while helping to keep the Service Centre running smoothly. You'll be the first point of contact for people serving community-based sentences, members of the public, service providers, and internal and external stakeholders. No two days are the same, and you'll enjoy a varied role supporting the Department's goal of reducing re-offending and creating safer communities. This role will suit someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can confidently manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of professionalism. This role works between the days and hours of Monday to Friday 8.30am-5pm and is a full time, permanent position.
We are looking for a professional, reliable, and people-focused team member who brings: proven administration experience and strong customer service skills. Excellent communication, organisation, and relationship-building abilities. The ability to manage competing priorities in a busy environment. A collaborative and adaptable approach when working with people from diverse backgrounds. High attention to detail and the ability to manage sensitive information with integrity. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint) and confidence learning new systems. A full New Zealand Driver Licence.
The salary range for this position is $61,086 - $64,659 per annum. Appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role.
