About the Role

Medical Imaging is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our small, supportive team delivering Nuclear Medicine services across the region.

We are also open to applications from an experienced Medical Imaging Technologist who is passionate about developing their skills and pursuing a career in Nuclear Medicine.

This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in all aspects of the Nuclear Medicine service, working alongside an experienced team and contributing to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Our department operates a Siemens gamma camera and provides a wide range of Nuclear Medicine imaging procedures, along with selected in vivo studies and therapy work.

About You

The successful applicant will be:

• A New Zealand Registered Medical Radiation Technologist
• Hold a current Annual Practising Certificate with a Nuclear Medicine scope
• Ideally have some postgraduate practical experience in Nuclear Medicine
• Highly motivated and enthusiastic about Nuclear Medicine
• A confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
• Interested in contributing to all aspects of the operation of the department
• Committed to providing high-quality, patient-centred care

Trainee Nuclear Medicine Technologist

We are looking for someone who is motivated, enthusiastic and committed to undertaking the academic and clinical requirements necessary to become a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.

To be considered for the trainee position, you will need to:

• Be a New Zealand Registered Medical Imaging Technologist
• Hold a current Annual Practising Certificate
• Demonstrate a genuine interest in pursuing a career in Nuclear Medicine
• Be highly motivated and able to manage an academic workload alongside your clinical hours
• Be prepared to commit to completing a Postgraduate Diploma in Health Sciences (Nuclear Medicine) through the University of Auckland
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Be keen to learn and contribute to all aspects of the Nuclear Medicine service
