Nurse Specialist: Orthopaedic

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, innovative, and experienced Registered Nurse to join Te Toka Tumai Auckland as a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) - Orthopaedics. This senior nursing role provides expert clinical leadership through advanced practice, patient care coordination, and exemplary clinical decision-making. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting optimal patient outcomes while promoting excellence in nursing practice across the Orthopaedic Service.

A key component of this position is the ability to mentor, support, and share specialist knowledge with nursing colleagues, fostering professional development and clinical excellence within the team. As part of the Orthopaedic Senior Nursing Team, you will join an evolving service committed to empowering senior nurses to work both collaboratively and autonomously. Together, the team strives to ensure efficient and effective service delivery while providing an exceptional patient experience throughout the care journey.

The Orthopaedic Service at Te Toka Tumai Auckland provides both acute and elective care to more than 12,000 patients annually. As the major trauma centre for the Auckland region, the service offers a comprehensive range of orthopaedic specialist services and provides exposure to a diverse variety of complex clinical presentations requiring advanced specialist nursing expertise.

This is a permanent full-time role (40 hours per week), Monday to Sunday rostered shifts.
