Occupational Therapist For Infant, Child, Adolescent and Family Service (ICAFS)

ICAFS is seeking two registered occupational therapists to join our Kaiārahi team. Our Kaiārahi team provides evidence-based interventions and comprehensive assessments for young people with moderate-to-severe mental health difficulties. You will work alongside young people and their families to work towards their goals as well as liaising with our hospital and community partners. As part of this work you will work with our occupational therapy team to provide sensory and functional assessments.

ICAFS is a community-based team that provides specialist assessment and treatment for 0 - 18 year olds and their families/ whanau in the Hutt Valley. We offer a range of therapeutic approaches as well as having two specialist treatment teams, family therapy (with a screening team) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). We work closely with our primary partners, including supporting young people at a local care a protection residence. We have a large team of passionate clinicians, including social workers, psychologists, psychiatrists, nurses, psychotherapists and other occupational therapists that you would be working closely alongside. We have clinicians with a range of experience and are known to provide excellent support to trainees, interns and new graduates who are frequently working within our service. Our service utilises the CAPA (Choice and Partnership Approach) Framework.

About you:

• Provide mental health assessment and treatment
• Previous experience in child and adolescent mental health.
• Comfortable managing risk
• Hold New Zealand registration as an occupational therapist and be eligible for a current practicing certificate.
