Delivery Driver / Store Team Member

Previous experience of at least 6 months is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided to the right applicant.

Key Responsibilities

Food Preparation & In-Store Duties

• Prepare and cook HELL products in accordance with brand quality and quantity standards.
• Prepare and serve drinks, desserts and other menu items.
• Package food correctly for dine-in, takeaway and delivery orders.
• Ensure orders are accurate and complete before dispatch.
• Follow food preparation, food safety and hygiene guidelines.
• Assist with phones, counter service and other reasonable duties as required.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised work environment.

Delivery Duties

• Deliver customer orders promptly, safely and with care.
• Provide friendly and professional customer service during deliveries.
• Follow all New Zealand road rules and drive safely at all times.
• Ensure adequate change is available when required.
• Check orders before leaving the store to ensure accuracy.
• Complete delivery duties in accordance with company procedures.

Customer Service

• Serve customers promptly, politely and professionally.
• Answer incoming phone calls promptly and provide accurate information.
• Provide customers with accurate menu and product information.
• Identify appropriate opportunities to promote additional products.
• Process customer payments and provide correct change.
• Accurately communicate customer orders and any allergy or dietary requirements to the kitchen team.
• Handle customer complaints in accordance with company procedures.
• Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.

Cleaning & General Duties

• Complete cleaning duties as rostered.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety and hygiene.
• Complete required training and skills assessments.
• Follow company policies, procedures and health and safety requirements.
• Undertake other reasonable duties as directed by the Store Manager.

Skills, Experience & Education

The successful applicant will ideally have:

• At least 6 months' relevant work experience is desirable but not essential.
• A full, clean driver's licence.
• Access to reliable transport suitable for carrying out delivery duties.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• The ability to work efficiently in a busy environment.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to follow instructions and work with limited supervision.
• Ability to multitask and prioritise work.
• Good numeracy skills.
• Reliability, punctuality and a strong work ethic.
• Flexibility to perform different duties within the store.
• A positive attitude and ability to work well as part of a team.

Additional Requirements

• Applicants may be required to complete a drug and alcohol test where applicable and in accordance with company policy and employment requirements.
• Willingness to complete all required training.
• Compliance with food safety, health and safety and company policies.
