About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for trainee cardiac sonographers to join Health New Zealand Southern on a full-time, fixed-term basis until December 2028. This opportunity will see you based out of Southland hospital with visits to Dunedin (and potentially other centres across Te Waipounamu). Te Whatu Ora will pay all training costs, and once you are registered with MRTB you will then undertake the PGD through University of Auckland. This course is distance-based learning. The expectation for this role is 32 hours a week hands on learning (scanning) and 8 hours study per week.
