About the Role

The Integrated Operations Centre/Nursing Bureau at Palmerston North Hospital has opportunities available for motivated and energetic Health Care Assistants to join the team.

In this role, you will work under the direction and supervision of nursing staff, assisting them to provide safe, economical and high-quality patient care. You will support patients with delegated care activities and help maintain a clean, safe, pleasant and functional clinical environment.

An understanding of hygiene and cleanliness principles, previous experience working positively with people, or successful completion of a caregiving or related course would be advantageous.

About the Team/Service

The Integrated Operations Centre/Nursing Bureau supports the delivery of patient care across Palmerston North Hospital. As a Health Care Assistant, you will work alongside nursing staff and other members of the multidisciplinary team, contributing to patient comfort, communication, privacy, safety and hygiene.
