About the Role

As a Relief Support Administrator, you will provide professional reception and administrative support across a range of clinical areas, helping to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of services. You will be responsible for welcoming patients and visitors, managing enquiries, supporting clinics and ward administration, maintaining accurate patient records, and assisting clinical teams with a range of administrative tasks.

This is a varied role that offers plenty of diversity and the opportunity to work across different departments. You will play an important part in creating a positive experience for patients and whānau, ensuring information is managed accurately and confidentially, and supporting the delivery of high quality healthcare services. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a busy environment, and takes pride in providing excellent customer service.

About the Team/Service/Location

Based within Support Services at Hawke's Bay Hospital, the Relief Support Administrator team provides reception and administrative support across a range of clinical services. You will work closely with clinical and administrative teams, contributing to a positive patient experience and the effective day to day running of hospital services.

As a Relief Support Administrator, you will bring:

  • Experience in reception, administration, or customer service roles
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a professional and welcoming approach
  • Confidence using computer systems and data entry applications
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • The ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities
  • A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and delivering outstanding customer service
  • A flexible and positive attitude, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
