Front Of House
Front of House Staff – Canterbury Region
We are looking for three dedicated and enthusiastic Front of House (FOH) staff to join our busy restaurants located in Christchurch, Rolleston and Timaru in Canterbury Region.
This is a permanent position offering a minimum of 30 hours per week, with an hourly pay rate of $24–$28 per hour, depending on your skills, experience, and suitability for the role. Flexibility to work weekends, late-night shifts, and public holidays.
Tasks Include:
-Greeting and welcoming visitors
-Perform the tasks of taking order and maximizing sales opportunities through knowledge of product and suggestive selling.
-Ensure accuracy by repeating the orders to the guests.
-Ensure that dockets are written clearly and correctly so the cashier and kitchen can fulfil their duties effectively
-Deliver the orders promptly to the kitchen production area
-Check ordered meals on collection from kitchen and deliver to guests promptly to maintain temperature and appearance.
-Maintaining the reception area, and Keep tables, service areas clean and tidy as per procedure manual
-Maintain hygienic food service techniques during service.
-Answering inquiries and providing information on the menu
-Receiving and resolving complaints from clients and the public
Essential skills and attributes required:
-No formal qualification or previous experience is required
-Personal pride in presentation and professionalism
-Willingness to learn and be upward moving is essential
-Naturally enjoys being around people and contributing to a positive work environment
-Efficient, accurate and strong appreciation for following systems
-Consistent performance no matter the pressure from guests, team and outside influences
-Must be available to work weekends and holidays
