About the Role

We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic Registered Nurses to join our Endoscopy team at Timaru Hospital. As an Endoscopy Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will provide safe, patient-centred care throughout the patient journey, supporting individuals and their whānau while ensuring excellent clinical outcomes. This role offers the opportunity to develop specialist skills within a dynamic procedural environment, working alongside experienced nursing, medical, and support teams. Whether you have previous endoscopy experience or are looking to expand your clinical expertise in this specialty area, we welcome applications from nurses who are passionate about delivering exceptional care and continuous improvement.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand
  • A current Annual Practising Certificate (APC)
  • A commitment to delivering safe, high-quality patient care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • The ability to remain calm and adaptable in a fast-paced clinical setting

Desirable:

  • Previous endoscopy, procedural, surgical, or perioperative nursing experience
  • Experience caring for patients undergoing sedation and invasive procedures
  • Postgraduate study relevant to gastroenterology, procedural, or specialty nursing practice
  • PDRP participation

Salary Range

This role is covered by the terms and conditions of the NZNO Collective Agreement and the salary will be in accordance with the applicable pay scale and dependent on experience.
