JOB SUMMARY
The Hotel Service Manager is responsible for planning, organising, directing, controlling and coordinating the accommodation and guest service operations of the hotel. The role ensures high standards of customer service, efficient management of staff and resources, and smooth day-to-day operations of the hotel’s accommodation services.
Minimum 30 hours Guaranteed. Weekend work required.
Applicants must have the following as per employer’s requirement:
- 2 years of relevant work experience and/or level 4 qualification
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, organise and coordinate the daily operations of the hotel’s accommodation and guest service functions.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of reception, housekeeping, and guest service staff to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Ensure high standards of customer service are maintained and that guest enquiries, requests, and complaints are resolved promptly and professionally.
- Monitor room availability, bookings and occupancy levels to maximise efficiency and guest satisfaction.
- Oversee guest check-in and check-out procedures and ensure booking systems and
accommodation records are maintained accurately. - Train, supervise and support staff to ensure they perform their duties in accordance
with hotel policies and service standards. - Prepare staff rosters and allocate work duties to ensure adequate coverage for
operational requirements. - Monitor the cleanliness, presentation and maintenance of accommodation areas to
ensure they meet quality and safety standards. - Maintain operational records and prepare reports relating to hotel performance,
occupancy and service standards.
