Permanent, Part - Time, 64 Hours a fortnight (0.8 FTE)

About the Role

As a Registered Nurse within Addiction Services, you will deliver specialist nursing care to tangata whai ora participating in Opioid Substitution Treatment (OST), supporting people through assessment, stabilisation, maintenance, and recovery. Using a recovery-oriented and harm minimisation approach, you will provide evidence-based interventions, monitor physical and mental health, coordinate care with pharmacies and multidisciplinary teams, and support safe and effective treatment outcomes.

About the Team/Service/Location

Our Addiction Service provides specialist assessment, treatment, and recovery support for people experiencing alcohol and other drug-related challenges. We are a passionate multidisciplinary team committed to delivering equitable, person-centred, and culturally responsive care while working closely with community providers, pharmacies, primary care, and support services.

About You

As a Registered Nurse, you will bring:

• Current registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand and a current Annual Practising Certificate.
• A postgraduate qualification in addiction or mental health nursing.
• Experience working in community-based addiction services.
• Strong knowledge of OST medications, legislation, clinical guidelines, and harm reduction approaches.
• Excellent assessment, communication, documentation, and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.

Desirable:

• A current PDRP portfolio.
• DAPAANZ registration.
• Experience working with co-existing mental health and addiction presentations.
