excellent customer service. The company is seeking a skilled and reliable Restaurant Manager to join its team in Auckland. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to oversee daily restaurant operations while maintaining high standards of service, food quality, and customer satisfaction.
Key Duties-
• Oversee the Efficient Operation of the Restaurant: Coordinate front-of-house and Kitchen activities and implement processes to ensure smooth daily operations and consistent service standards.
• Manage Recruitment, Induction, and Staff Training: Support the recruitment process and organise induction and training for restaurant employees.
• Work with Kitchen Staff on Menu Planning: Collaborate with the Chef and management team to review, develop, and update menu offerings.
• Manage Budgets and Financial Performance: Oversee the restaurant’s financial activities, monitor revenue and expenditure, manage operating costs, contribute to budgeting and financial planning, and implement measures to support profitability and achieve financial targets.
• Prepare and Maintain Staff Rosters: Develop staff schedules, resolve roster-related issues, and ensure staffing arrangements comply with employment requirements.
• Manage Weekly Stock Purchasing: Assess inventory requirements, place regular orders with suppliers, and monitor stock levels to minimise shortages and unnecessary ordering.
• Check and Receive Deliveries: Inspect incoming deliveries, verify quantities and quality, and ensure stock meets required standards.
• Oversee Daily Banking: Manage cash handling and banking procedures and maintain
accurate financial records.
• Review Weekly Sales and Inventory Reports: Examine sales and stock reports to identify trends, operational issues, and opportunities for improvement.
• Maintain High Customer Service Standards: Promote a strong customer service culture among staff and monitor customer feedback to identify areas for improvement.
• Resolve Customer Complaints: Respond to customer concerns professionally and take
appropriate action to resolve issues.
• Maintain Quality Service Delivery: Respond to customer enquiries and requests and ensure service is delivered to a consistently high standard.
• Assist with Order Taking During Busy Periods: Support front-of-house operations by assisting with customer orders when required and maintaining an active presence during busy service periods.
• Maintain a Safe Workplace: Ensure workplace safety procedures are followed and carry out regular checks of the restaurant environment.
• Maintain Compliance: Ensure restaurant operations comply with applicable health, food safety, workplace safety, and liquor licensing requirements, including the lawful sale and supply of alcohol under the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012.
Required to work for a minimum of 30 hours per week and will be paid between $30 to $35 per hour.
Other requirements for the role:
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience or minimum relevant Level 6 qualifications.
• LCQ and a Duty Manager’s Certificate.
• Available to work late evening shifts.
• Available to work weekends as required
